This document will guide you step by step instruction to set up and configure Cisco VPN client on Mac OS X operating system. VPN technology allows you to establish a secure network connection between an off-campus computer and UNSW networked resources, such as computers and file servers, over the Internet. A UNSW VPN connection gives you the same access credentials as if you were connecting from within the UNSW Campus Wide Network. To access the UNSW Enterprise VPN service you need to first install Cisco VPN Client software on your computer and also install a VPN client configuration file customised for your faculty or work group, as detailed below. Obtain the software and configuration file, Run the VPN Client installer, Connect to the UNSW network, How do I know whether I am connected? How do I disconnect? How to check the client’s connection details, How to uninstall the VPN Client, How to uninstall the VPN Client and associated config files.
