Content Inside:
The purpose of this handbook is twofold. First, it is intended to serve as a tutorial for persons unfamiliar with the airworthiness qualification process. This includes Government and contractor personnel who are involved in development of requirements
or members of the design team who are not directly involved in the qualification process. In this context the handbook provides an overview of the airworthiness process for developing requirements. It describes air vehicle and typical system requirements as a guide for airworthiness qualification. Second, it is intended to serve as a reference guide for those involved in preparing airworthiness qualification documentation. This includes persons who are responsible for generating and reviewing documentation
that establishes the airworthiness of systems and subsystems. Requirements for and examples of airworthiness documentation are covered in the Appendices to this handbook.
This handbook divided into 11 chapters. Chapter 1 the introduction, purpose, scope, definition of rotorcraft and light aircfart, qualification, general techniques, testing analysis, modeling, engineering and manufacturing development etc. Chapter 2 - Airworthiness qualification program, survey, analytical, test integration and computer resource working groups, technical relevance, assessment of risk, civil agencies, military etc. Chapter 3 - System Safety, system safety process, identification of light safety parts, hazard identification, analytical methodologies and techniques, safety analysis and analysis technique, safety test, flight safety parts, etc. Chapter 4 Technical reviews, data and documentation, technical requirements, critical design review, software reviews, structural component data, electronic component data, rotor propeller and prop rotor subsystem, hydraulic and pneumatic subsystems, landing gear, structural data, engine and flight control electronic data and many more, this handbook is available free to download from www.redstone.army.mil consist of 494 pages.
