This Assembly and Application Manual will provide the directions and testing steps necessary to build this practical test tool. By following the assembly steps, the Logic Probe Kit should work once the 9V battery is snapped to the clip. After completing the assembly of the Logic Probe several testing examples will be illustrated. The intention behind the applications is to show the versatility and ease of using this testing tool for digital and microcontroller circuits. Its suggested the Assembly and Application Manual be placed in a 3 ring binder and referenced during the implementation of digital and microcontroller circuit applications. Qty Description (1) PCB (Printed Circuit Board) (2) 14 Pin DIP (Dual In Line) Sockets (1) MAN 72 Common Anode 7 Segment Display (2) 1K3,1/4W resistors (6) 330 or 4703, 1/4W resistors (3) 0.15 or 0.19F capacitors (1) 7404/74LS04 or 7405/74LS05 Hex Inverter IC (1) 9V Battery (1) 7805 +5V Voltage Regulator. The circuit schematic diagram for the Logic Probe is shown below. The steps will guide you through the assembly of the Logic Probe Kit. Using the circuit schematic diagram in Figure 2 and Reference Designators on the pcb, mount the 1K3 and 330 or 4703 resistors onto the printed circuit board. Congratulations, you have successfully built the Logic Probe Kit. The following examples will illustrate the versatility and ease in using this practical test tool for digital and microcontroller circuits.
