This Service Manual contains information regarding periodic maintenance to the emission control system. Please read this material carefully. This manual is intended as a handy, easy-to-read reference book for the mechanic. Comprehensive explanations of all installation, removal, disassembly, assembly, repair and check procedures are laid out with the individual steps in sequential order. Check each switch for damage or wear, proper connections, and also for continuity between the terminals. The FZ6-SS/FZ6-SSC features a self-diagnosing system for the following circuit(-s): Fuel pump thermistor Oil level switch If any of these circuits are defective, their respective condition codes will be displayed on the warning light when the main switch is turned “ON” (irrespective of whether the engine is running or not). The following guide for troubleshooting does not cover all the possible causes of trouble. It should be helpful, however, as a guide to basic troubleshooting. Refer to the relative procedure in this manual for checks, adjustments, and replacement of parts.
