Content Inside :
Panel description, front panel, function switches, rear and side panels, function display, microphone, Installation and connections : unpacking, grounding, antenna, installation, required connections, advanced connections, power supply connections, external antenna tuners and linear amplifier. Frequency setting, when first applying power (CPU resetting), initial setting, mode selection. Receive and transmit : function for receive, functions for transmit, split frequency operation, functions for CW, functions for RTTY. Memory and scan operation : Memory channels, memory channel selection. Maintenance : fuse replacement, memory backup, cleaning, troubleshooting. If a fuse blows or the transceiver stop functioning, try to find the source of the problem, and replace the damaged fuse with a new, rated fuse. Memory backup : All of the CPU’s memory is backed up by an EEP-ROM. All data you set, such as VFO, memory, set mode contents, etc. is stored in this EEP-ROM. There is no internal lithium battery. If the transceiver bemoes dusty or dirty, wipe it clean with a dry, soft cloth. Troubleshooting power does not come on when the power switch is pushed : possible cause DC power cable is improperly connected, fuse is blown. Solution : Reconnect the power cable correctly, check for the cause, then replace the fuse with a spare one.
