Instrument cluster uses analog (needle-type) speedometer, tachometer and gauges. A circuit plate on back of instrument cluster
conducts current between components and receives data from other control units. TROUBLE SHOOTING Verify customer complaint. Perform a visual inspection, checking for blown fuses, disconnected or damaged wire harnesses and components. Ensure all fluid levels are correct. Repair or replace items as necessary and recheck. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under CIRCUIT TESTS. Parking Brake Switch. See appropriate wiring diagram in EXTERIOR LIGHTS article. See appropriate CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS article. See ANTI-LOCK BRAKES article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. Testing information is not available from manufacturer. CIRCUIT TESTS BULB CIRCUIT. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check engine coolant temperature gauge. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE under COMPONENT TESTS. Repair as necessary.
