This book is designed to be the basis of an instructor-led training course in AutoCAD 2008 Advanced. Section 1: Advanced Text Objects Annotation Scale Overview Using Fields Controlling the Draw Order Section 2: Working with Tables Creating Tables
Modifying Tables Working with Linked Tables Creating Table Styles, Annotation Scale Overview, Annotation objects include Text, Multiline Text, Dimensions, Multileaders, Tolerances, Blocks, Attributes, and Hatches. When set to 1 (the default in the template files supplied with AutoCAD), linetypes are automatically scaled to the annotation scale. When set to 0, they are not scaled to the annotation scale. This variable is set per drawing using templates. It is recommended that you setup a process to change the linetype scale in drawings where it is turned off. (Annotative) also appears when you hover the mouse over an annotative object in the drawing window. To Use Annotation Scale 1. Switch to Paper Space and setup viewports as needed. 2. In the Status Bar select a VP Scale (Viewport Scale) from the list. The Annotation Scale automatically updates to match. Changing the Annotation Scale also changes the VP Scale. Automatically add scales to annotative objects when the annotation scale changes: When this is toggled On any annotation objects in the drawing are updated to match the new annotation scale. The Scale List is now stored in each drawing file and can vary from drawing to drawing. Therefore, if you want to use a standard scale list in each drawing you should set it in a template drawing.
