Complete replacing guide, step by step tutorial with pictures. These instructions are AT YOUR OWN RISK! No warranty implied or given. This procedure is very dangerous for your TYTN II and if you are not careful, you will brick your device. These instructions are based on my one and only positive experience, but I am a trained electronics technician with steady hands. If you have not done this before, it will take you 3-5 hours, so be prepared, don’t drink coffee, and take your time. Read through all instructions 3 times before starting.
First, tools. If you don’t have the right tools, DO NOT TRY THIS. You will need: jeweler’s Phillips head and normal screwdrivers, as well as a T5 and T6 TORX drivers, plastic case openers, fine tweezers, razor blade (for moving the ‘void’ sticker), and a small flashlight (to peer into the case at various times.) There are instructions inserted in this note from another hacker who uses his thumbnails to open the case, try this at your peril. It would void your warranty and may cause permanent damage your phone. Only do it on your own risk. Remove back cover, battery, stylus. Use Torx T7 to remove 3 screws. Use nail to remove the cover (a bit difficult. Try not to use hard tool to jack up the cover, it may leave some marks on the plastic). Jack up and take out wheel PCB. Now take the screen, remove 6 screws with Torx T6. Try to detach the metal from the body, it’s locked by two hard plastic. Do it carefully as you may damage the fragile plastic.
