This is a unit produced by H.R.C., Honda’s Racing Division, which plugs in series with the ignition unit and derestrictor box and (as I understand it) modifies the ignition advance curve so that it holds full advance right to the red line and moves the rev. limiter cut-off point up by about 1,000 rpm. Before leaving the subject, I have to mention that the ultimate engine job is a full tune and blueprint done by Honda V guru, Tony Scott, engine builder to many top race teams including Honda G.B.
