VW passat for model year 2001.5 – 2003, except HIDs). These were done on a 2001.5 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T. seem to be too wide for the wiring connector. Avoid touching the glass of the halogen bulb with bare hands. For easy access to the headlight’s bulbs, the cover shown above needs to be pulled out. As a reference, the arrows show what holds each other together. This will be helpful when placing this cover back. WARNING: Avoid touching the glass of the halogen bulb with bare hands. Use alcohol to clean off any contaminants. Read this book for VW service and repair manual complement.

I have a 2005 model and it would have been a lot easier if VW hadn’t put all those covers in the way. After all, it’s not like there’s a lack of room under the bonnet. Anyway, with the help of Google and these instructions it was a dawdle. Many thanks.
